Ceva launches new system for managing production flow

17th Jun 2020 / By Alistair Driver

Ceva has launched a new web-based system that helps producers manage production flow.

Ceva system logoThe Ceva Reproductive Program (CRP) is described as a user friendly, web-based system that promotes the benefits of consistent reproduction and therefore consistent production flow throughout a unit, rather than simply focusing on meeting the ‘average’ target at the end of the year.

"Producing uniform batches of pigs is key in achieving optimal production and minimising economic losses. A dial system indicates stocking rates in each stage, displaying as understocked, optimal or overstocked," the animal health company said.

"The impact of overstocking on growth and performance of animals is well documented and this forms the basis of the economic calculations within the CRP for the growing pigs. Calculations are also in place to determine the economic impact of under or overstocking of farrowing accommodation."

Once all relevant information is entered into the CRP website, an individual farm profile can be created, which can be updated as often as required. Following the initial set up, the only information needed to be inputted going forward is total batch service data.

The systems was featured in the May issue Pig World Innovation Supplement and you can read more details about it here
