22nd Mar 2017 / By Alistair Driver
Exports of fresh and frozen pork from Europe started 2017 strongly, following a good performance in 2016.
Volumes exported from the EU-28 in January were up more than 20% compared with the same month last year, at 187,300 tonnes.
The value of exports was up by even more, 34% higher than January 2016 to €447 million for the month, as the high prices seen towards the end of 2016 have continued.
