Election insight - the main parties' policies compared

NPA senior policy adviser Ed Barker has delved through the main parties election manifestos to see how their policies stack up for the pig sector. 

Election comparisonHe has put together a document comparing what the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, Green and Brexit are pledging on the policies that matter to the pig sector. The policies are tested against what the NPA is calling for in its manifesto.

Ed said: "I have tried to highlight the main policies that really matter to members, from Brexit to farrowing crates, labour policy and more.

"But this summary should only be taken as a guide only to each of the main parties’ positions on issues relevant to the pig sector, and does not provide an exhaustive list of policies."
