Farming Rules for Water update

The NPA is fully aware of members’ concerns over the Environment Agency’s recent announcement on the Farming Rules for Water.
Since the announcement, the NPA, along with other farming organisations, have raised these concerns with the agency and explained how the agency’s interpretation could have a profound impact on pig and arable businesses.
NPA policy services officer Lizzie Wilson said: “The agency is listening to our concerns, and we are hopeful that a further clarification regarding autumn spreading will be issued soon.”
