Good luck to NFU's marathon runners - supporting a great cause

30th Sep 2021 / By Alistair Driver

NFU vice president Tom Bradshaw, dairy Addvisor Phoebe Russell and Beds and Hunts County advisor Oliver Rubinstein are running the London Marathon on Sunday, October 3, in in support of Farm Africa

All donations will support Farm Africa projects across Africa, including a fantastic project empowering women through sunflower farming in Tanzania - more than 400 sunflower female farmers and cooperative members are receiving training and support from Farm Africa to establish or develop sunflower businesses.

Farm Africa is helping Tanzanian farmers to access and grow varieties of sunflower seeds that can withstand extreme droughts and pests and produce twice as much oil directly impacting on improving incomes.

"As we run, stubble or crawl round the streets of London we will be doing so knowing its all for a really good cause and your generous support is very much appreciated," the NFU team says on its Just Giving Page
