Members' Area - update on on-farm culling

An important update has been posted in the Members' Area for anyone being forced to consider on-farm culling.

There is no sign of the situation getting any easier, as pork plants continue to run below capacity and farms are having pigs turned away each week.
The NPA has heard of around 10,000 pigs having to culled across various farms as producers exhaust contingency plans and run out of space. Until progress is made in reducing the backlog, it is likely this number will increase.
