NPA Election 2021: Another producer nomination from the North

18th Dec 2020 / By Alistair Driver

The NPA election nominations are coming in quickly now - the latest is a second candidate from the Northern region.

Joe Dewhirst is group managing director of a family pig farming business, based just outside Driffield, in East Yorkshire, with 8,000 sows housed across 13 units.

"I would relish the opportunity of helping to shape our industry during these challenging times so that we continue to move forward as an industry that we are all proud to be a part of. This means profitable pig businesses investing for the future, happy and fulfilled people enjoying their careers and satisfied loyal customers," Joe says in his manifesto.

This is the sixth producer nomination, while there have now been eight allied industry nominations.
