NPA Election 2021: Two more allied industry nominations
6th Jan 2021 / By Alistair Driver
We have received to more allied industry nominations, as the NPA election race race hots up ahead of the nomination deadline.
This includes the first nomination from the processing sector in the form of Ash Gilman, who is the head of Cranswick's agricultural strategy, working alongside the company's pig farming operations and coordinating R&D projects.
"I am passionate about British Agriculture, advocating our high standards and the inherent nutritional value and quality that it contains.
"I understand the threats the industry is under, and I am keen to defend it rigorously, but we all have a duty to ensure our respective “shop windows” are looking their best at all times," Ash says in his manifesto.
Representing the third nomination from the pig nutrition sector, ForFarmers' Charlotte Evans has submitted her nomination.
"If successful, I will use my knowledge and experience for the benefit of the industry and will also leverage expertise as and when required across the wider ForFarmers group. I will be certain to work hard on behalf of the industry if elected," she says in her manifesto.
With less than a week to go before the nomination window closes, we have now received 10 allied industry nominations and eight from prodcers.
