NPA responds to Defra labelling consultation

The NPA has responded to Defra's call for views on labelling for animal welfare.
"The NPA places animal welfare at the forefront of any policy under consideration, but we question the motive in this call for views, given that consumers in the UK can already make an informed choice when purchasing pork due to established labelling schemes," senior policy adviser Charlie Dewhirst said.
