NPA's Charlie Dewhirst to moderate DIT event on opportunities in US pork market

6th May 2021 / By Alistair Driver

The NPA's Charlie Dewhirst will moderate what is certain to be an interesting discussion on opportunities for UK pork in the US today.

The discussion is part of a virtual event for businesses organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) on 'Opening Doors to the US'.

The event starts at 1pm with an introduction from International Trade Liz Truss and the Government's North America Trade Commissioner, Antony Phillipson.

The session will cover DIT support for consumer foods and food & drink producers and the 2021 Consumer Goods USA Outlook.

In the pork session from 2pm, DIT USA and AHDB will present on insights gleaned from recent participation at the North American Meat Conference on demand opportunities for British pork products.

There will be concurrent sessions for whisky, cheese and fashion.
