National Pig Awards nominations are open

The 2018 National Pig Awards are open for entries, with two brand new categories added to the list this year.
For the first time, there wil be a Special Achievement award, recognising, for example, significant reductions in antibiotic usage and energy or a significant improvement in environmental impact.
There is also a new Young Vet of the Year recognising the importance of the relationship between vet and pig producer and also the importance of attracting graduate vets to the industry. Organised by Pig World and now in their fifth year, there are 12 categories in total for judges to deliberate over.

Cash prizes are again up for grabs: £2,500 for the Producer of the Year and £500 each for Stockman, Young Pig Farmer and Trainee of the Year

Organised by Pig World and now in their fifth year, the awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on November 19.
