New recruits for AHDB's pork team

2nd Sep 2019 / By Alistair Driver

AHDB's pork pork technical team has been strengthened with two new recruits.

Jen Waters Grace WhitlowJen Waters (left) has returned after eight years as Senior Knowledge Exchange (KE) Manager, while Grace Whitlow (right) has taken up the role of Environment and Buildings Knowledge Transfer (KT) Manager.

Ms Waters will be heading up the KE team, with a strong focus on key account management. Her previous role as supply chain development manager at Tulip has given her extensive experience of building relationships with producers and retailers alike.

Ms Whitlow comes from the National Farmers Union where she worked as an environment adviser. In that role she led on water quality and ammonia policy, took on the challenge of ‘Farming Rules for Water’, nitrate vulnerable zones and the government’s ambitions for farming, as set out in the ‘Clean Air Strategy.’

Steve Dunkley, head of pork KE, said: “I’m excited that Jen and Grace have joined the team. Jen’s wide range of experience will be invaluable as she leads AHDB’s Farm Excellence activities for the pork sector, as well as working closely with large key accounts.

“Grace’s understanding of environmental policy will be a real asset in supporting our livestock sectors as they adopt best practices.”
