Note on CSF officer farm visits

8th Apr 2020 / By Ed Barker

For understandable reasons, Catchment Sensitive Farmer (CSF) officers cannot go out to visit farms in the current situation.

CSF officer approval is required for a number of Countryside Stewardship Scheme grants, including slurry store covers and concreting.

The Rural Payments Agency is developing plans to allow the application window to progress. This might mean applicants can apply without prior approval, which they may then need to secure further down the line before offers are sent out in December. As it stands, the application window deadlines remain in place.

You can still contact your local CSF officer to ensure you are eligible and to go through the list of options that may be suitable for the farm HERE

Remember, there may be a number of other options that are suitable for your farm beyond slurry storage.

You can see all the list of options HERE
