Pig & Poultry Fair launches producer survey ahead of event
6th Apr 2018 / By Alistair Driver
The organisers of the Pig & Poultry Fair have launched a survey to gauge the industry’s outlook ahead of the 2018 event, which takes place at Stoneleigh on May 15 and 16.
The survey seeks views on how producers feel about their outlook for the next three years and the big issues that are likely to affect their businesses, including Brexit. It will gauge opinions on what producers see as the greatest opportunities for their businesses and also how important data is to to them.

The survey results will inform the various Outlook Forums at the fair and kick start the discussions.
The forum programme can be viewed here.
The events, which take place on both days, include a Pig Outlook seminar at 11am, featuring NPA senior policy advisor Ed Barker and Tulip's Andrew Saunders.
Ed said: “I can’t think of any sector that will be affected more by the outcome of the Brexit negotiations than the pig sector. Future trading arrangements will be critical, while the industry also needs good outcomes on labour and regulation. We are getting a clearer picture all the time – the Fair will be an opportunity to discuss where we stand.”
