Red Tractor appoints former Boris Johnson staffer to communications role

Red Tractor has appointed a new head of communications, as the assurance scheme looks to step up its profile.

Rebecca MillerRebecca Miller joins Red Tractor from Heineken UK, where she was head of media and sustainability and responsible for driving the communications response to the UK-wide shortage of CO2 during the hottest summer on record.

She is a former staffer to Boris Johnson and has also managed the communications for product and suppliers for Tesco.

She takes up what is a newly created role for Red Tractor, which is on a mission to explain more clearly to consumers what lies behind the famous logo. 

Jim Moseley, Red Tractor’s chief executive, said: “Rebecca represents an exciting step forward for Red Tractor. With a background in retail, London politics and working for an international cider, beer and pub business, she has been involved with some of the biggest corporate and news moments of the last decade.
