Thompsons of York named NPA Allied Industry Member of the Year

Thompsons of York, specialists in manufacturing and supplying high quality pig feeds, has won the NPA Allied Industry Member of the Year Award. 

This award is unique, as it is decided by an online vote by NPA members and Pig World readers. Thompsons came out top from a shortlist that also included Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Quality Equipment, Zarkos-Smith Associates and Zoetis. 

The winner was announced by NPA chairman Rob Mutimer at Monday's National Pig Awards in London.

Part of a farmer-owned cooperative, the company values its partnership with its farmers and strives to provide a professional and comprehensive service. It is dedicated to maximising the potential and profitability of any pig enterprise by supplying high performance feeds designed that meet the potential of the modern genotype and the hyperprolific sow. 

The award was one of 15 handed out on the night, with the overall Pig Producer of the Year award going to Norfolk outdoor unit LSB Pigs.

The David Black Award award was won by former Government Chief Veterinary Officer Jim Scudamore.
