NPA is an effective voice for the industry and it has run many successful campaigns in the past, declares Peter Bryant, of A-One Feed Supplements, the latest candidate to throw his hat in the ring for NPA’s Allied Industry Group election.
If elected, he hopes to help with NPA campaigning in the future 'as well as meeting the current challenges on food safety, antibiotic reduction, and addressing ongoing concerns about farming protection and levels of security in the pig industry'.
He says becoming part of the NPA Allied Industry Group would be a privilege and would help him play a key role in ensuring the industry’s continued success.
Peter is particularly keen to help talented youngsters who join the pig sector, 'to provide them with similar opportunities I myself was fortunate enough to experience'.
He first became interested in agriculture when staying with his grandparents in East Anglia as a child.
“From that point onward, all I ever wanted was to be actively involved in the farming industry. The last 31 years of my career have taken me through various roles, from pig production to feed manufacture and this has consolidated my knowledge and understanding of the daily demands prevalent in farming today.”
