Who's the latest Producer Group member to stand again?

28th Dec 2017 / By Alistair Driver

Another current Producer Group member has announced his intention to run for a further three-year term on the NPA's policy-making body.

Colin Stone, breeding farms manager for Wayland Farms, becomes the 10th candidate confirmed for the PG election, which will take place in early 2018.

In his election manifesto, Colin, who currently represents the East region and is one of two producer representatives on the Red Tractor Pork board, outlines the breadth of his involvement in pig industry matters, from the Real Welfare project and Red Tractor to PRRS eradication and dealing with animal rights activists.

"Having worked for BPEX in the past I still question the value of AHDB to pig levy-payers. I will happily challenge AHDB to deliver what is required for the pig industry," he says.
