Bacon sales recovery in final quarter of 2016

Bacon sales increased by 6 per cent year-on-year in the final 12 weeks of last year, with over 40,000 tonnes of bacon sold by GB retailers.

Data published by Kantar Worldpanel, suggests the bacon volume recovery was helped by falling prices, which restricted the growth of the category in value terms to 0.6 per cent.
