NPA members will soon begin voting to elect a streamlined Pig Industry Group (PIG).

The new group will be made up of eight producer members and four allied industry members.

Nominations are now closed and we have an impressive total of 20 people from across the pig sector seeking election

That includes 12 producers from a mix of production systems and business sizes and types, and eight people from the allied industries, again from a range of business types.

Voting via email for NPA members commences on January 23, with postal ballots sent out to those who have not voted online from February 5. Voting will close on February 22

Producers will only vote for producers, and allied industry members for allied industry candidates, with one vote per membership.
