NPA Autumn Regional meetings - put the date in your diary!

The NPA Autumn Regional meetings get underway in Exeter in the first week of October.
With so many hot topics currently affecting the pig sector to discuss, we suggest you put the date in your diary now!
The NPA team will deliver the usual policy updates, covering:
- The new pig welfare code
- Brexit and preparing for a no deal
- Animal rights activism impacts
- Environmental regulations
- End the cage age debate
- ASF update
There will also be guest speakers at each event. Here is the schedule:
Wednesday, October 2 – South West
Exeter Racecourse, following George Veterinary Group Pig Fair, start time approx 5.30pm.
Guest speaker: AHDB update - Duncan Wyatt.
Tuesday, October 15 – South Central
Newbury Rugby Club, 6.30pm.
Making yourself heard in Westminster – Ed Barker, NPA; AHDB update - Duncan Wyatt.
Tuesday, October 22 – East
Diss Rugby Club, 6.30pm.
Salmonella in pigs - Susanna Williamson, APHA; AHDB update - Bethan Wilkins.
Tuesday, October 29 – North
Sandburn Hall Hotel, York, 6.30pm.
Swine Dysentery - Duncan Berkshire, Bishopton Vets; AHDB update - Bethan Wilkins.
All meetings start with a hot buffet.
NPA chief executive Zoe Davies said: “With so much to discuss at the moment, the Autumn Regionals offer a great opportunity for us to explain some of the detail on the big issues of the day, from the new welfare Code to a no deal Brexit, but also to hear your views. So make sure you come along.”
The NPA will be running the usual one-hour surgeries prior to the meetings. You can book a one-to-one slot with NPA staff should you wish to discuss something specific with them.
