New 'Find a Feed Adviser' search tool launched

A new 'Find a Feed Adviser' tool has been launched to help farmers find their nearest feed companies employing registered feed advisers.

The tool can be found on the Feed Adviser Register (FAR) website here

All feed advisers have had the opportunity to register with this initiative and the uptake has been fantastic, according to the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC). 

The search results show the name of the nearest feed company offering advice from registered feed advisers for the required species within their area. From there, further details can be obtained as required from the individual company.

This initiative has been launched in response to farmers asking the question about where to find feed advisers and to stakeholders who wanted to see more transparency within FAR.

With the continued restrictions of movements due to COVID-19, this tool will make it easier for farmers to have online contact with their chosen feed adviser.

John Kelley, managing director of AIC Services said: “As FAR has developed over the years we are always looking to add new capacity to the register for feed advisers – this will be one of these to help feed advisers as well as helping farmers locate professional advice.”
