Nominations for David Black Award open until end of August

The window for making nominations for the prestigious David Black Award will remain open until the of this month. 

Inspired by the East Anglian pig farmer of the same name, the accolade is awarded to an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding impact on the British pig sector during the course of their work.

It was presented at the National Pig Awards for the first time last year to NPA chairman Richard Lister in recognition of the leadership he has shown in the drive to reduce antibiotic use.

Sponsored by AHDB, the award has previously celebrated those from across the industry, including producers, processors, academics and the allied industry. 

The closing date to submit nominations is August 31. The winner will again be announced at the National Pig Awards.
