Nominations open for David Black Award
9th Jun 2020 / By Alistair Driver
Nominations are now open for the prestigious David Black Award, which has been honouring exceptional contributions to the pig industry for over 60 years.
Inspired by the East Anglian pig farmer of the same name, this accolade is awarded to an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding impact on the British pig sector during the course of their work.
It was presented at the National Pig Awards for the first time last year to NPA chairman Richard Lister in recognition of the leadership he has shown in the drive to reduce antibiotic use.
The award, sponsored by AHDB, has previously celebrated those from across the industry, including producers, processors, academics and the allied industry.
The closing date to submit nominations is August 31. The winner will again be announced at the National Pig Awards.
