Red Tractor announces May member meeting dates

16th Apr 2017 / By Alistair Driver

Red Tractor has announced it will be holding events across England to engage with members on areas it has been working over the last few years.

Red TractorThe meetings, held in partnership with Red Tractor's Certification Bodies, are cross-sector and all producers are welcome attend.

At each meeting there will be a short update on Red Tractor activity, with different guest speakers lined up for each venue. Topics to be discussed range from improved outputs through a focus on reducing antibiotic usage, to working with licensees to ensure the integrity of the logo and consumers trends and the work we do with retailers and licensees.

Details of the meetings are as follows:

May 9, Sedgemoor - 6.30pm-9pm. Discuss antimicrobial resistance in livestock with farmer and chair of RUMA, Gwynn Jones and hear first hand from South West farmer, Ed Frost, on how he has reduced antibiotic use on his farm and improved output.

May 11, Stoneleigh - 6.30pm-9pm. Hear about how we work with licensees (companies which put the Red Tractor logo on products) to ensure the integrity of the logo throughout the supply chain and what they are doing to promote Red Tractor food to consumers.

May 23, Yorkshire Farming Museum - 6.30pm-9pm. Discuss working with retailers and licensees to understand consumer behaviour and meet consumer demand, as well as look at the work done throughout the supply chain to protect the integrity of the Red Tractor logo.

Registration is compulsory. Links for registering can be found here

Red Tractor said: "We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at the meetings."

Given that these initial three locations for meetings are not convenient for all members, Red Tractor said it envisaged rolling out further events in the autumn.
