Search underway new Groceries Code Adjudicator

The Government has begun its search to find a new Groceries Code Adjudicator to replace Christine Tacon, who will step down next June after seven years in the role.
The Cabinet Office is currently advertising for the role, with a deadline of December 16 for applications.

The functions of the role include advising large retailers and suppliers on the Groceries Code and investigating possible breaches of the Code by large retailers.
The Government has resisted calls by farming organisations, including the NPA, to extend the remit of the Adjudicator to processors.
