Sign up for the final online autumn meeting on Wednesday

16th Oct 2023 / By Alistair Driver

The NPA will be holding the second of two online autumn meetings on Wednesday to discuss all the key policy areas the association is working on.

The online meetings have replace the autumn regionals as a trial, with one timed for the afternoon and the other for the evening to ensure they are accessible to everyone.

  • The second meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 18, at 7pm

It will take place on Teams and will be open to all members. Details on joining will be available nearer the time.

Members interested in registering for this meeting should contact

As with the first meeting last week, the NPA team will run through the hot topics of the day, including the latest on Defra’s review of contractual practice in the pig supply chain and updates on farrowing systems, African swine fever, slurry grants, environmental policy and more.

There will also be a discussion on the forthcoming NPA elections and there will be a market update from AHDB, while AHDB will also discuss its proposals to raise the levy rate.

As always, members will have the opportunity to ask questions and have your say.
