The NPA’s Northern Spring Regional meeting takes place on Tuesday.
After the Eastern Regional kicked things off last week, the Northern meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at the new venue of Driffield RFC at the slightly earlier time of 6pm.
The NPA team will off the meeting with a focus on ASF, including the government’s current position and what we as a sector can do to prepare should the worst happen. This will be followed by an update on all the key issues including a progress report on contractual practice legislation, farrowing systems, welfare labelling and animal rights activity.
There will also be a presentation from AHDB Pork, with a focus on ASF planning and preparation, as well as a market overview and forward outlook.
"Your views are also very important in helping the new Pig Industry Group and the NPA team formulate policy and lobby on your behalf, some of whom will be in attendance for you to meet, so please do make the effort to come along," NPA chief executive Lizzie Wilson said.
As always, NPA will be running a one-hour surgery prior to the start of the meeting - members can book a one-to-one slot with NPA staff should you wish to discuss something specific. You can book a time slot – please include the nature of your enquiry.
- Please indicate your attendance, or book a time slot before the meeting, by contacting Andrea: andrea.tranter@npanet.org.uk
