Upload your 2017 data to eMB now to ensure new Red Tractor requirement is met

7th Aug 2017 / By Georgina Crayford

The latest version of the Red Tractor Pigs Standard will come into force from October 2017.

A new requirement of the standards is that data on antibiotic usage must be collated and uploaded to eMB on a quarterly basis.

The data must be uploaded within six weeks of the end of each quarter to ensure records are kept up to date.

Data for quarter two and quarter three of this year (April 1st to September 30th) must be uploaded by 11th November 2017.

NPA is encouraging producers that are not yet confident with uploading data to eMB to start the process now, while there is still plenty of time to seek support ahead of the deadline for data entry.

Waiting until November to start uploading data risks it not being uploaded in time should you run into problems with data entry. Particularly as others will also be seeking support at this time.

Get ahead and start now. There are a number of resources to help producers with uploading data on the AHDB Pork website, including an eMB user guide, FAQs and demonstration videos.
