Vesicular diseases - what you need to know

In the latest edition of Pig World, NPA’s Rebecca Veale outlines the latest information on vesicular diseases like foot-and-mouth (FMD), which remains endemic in some parts of the world.

FMD is the best-known vesicular disease, although there are others, including swine vesicular disease, vesicular stomatitis and Seneca valley virus, the first two of which are also notifiable.
