'Frustrating and unnecessary' - what producers make of the price situation

Pig producers have been having their say on the NPA forum about the current price situation, which has prompted the NPA to push for a pig supply chain code of conduct.

"The situation is frustrating and unnecessary," one comment begins. 

"It’s at times like these that we miss auction markets," says another. 

Another asks: "Is it time to start shorting pigs again?!"

But, cautions another, we 'should not be in to much of a hurry to change something because of a unique set of circumstances'.
