Let's keep up the pressure - write to your MP!

Further to the Defra summit last week, it is vital we use every avenue to keep up the political pressure and ensure that the plan to tackle the backlog is implemented urgently.

We continue to have bi-weekly meetings with the key players in the supply chain and Farming Minister Victoria Prentis will be chairing additional focus group meetings every other week to hold everyone to account, as well as committing to a full roundtable meeting once a month.

In addition, we are using the media to bring the story to the wider public and using social media campaigns to highlight good and bad examples of retailer behaviour.

However, one of the most effective routes that we can add more political pressure is via MPs, so we also need your help to collectively increase the pressure and keep the momentum going.    

We have therefore created a template letter that you can modify to suit your own situation and ask that you send this into your MP as soon as you can.
