Another producer nomination for the NPA Election is in, with the Midlands now having its first candidate.

NPA Election 2021 logoSam Godfrey is an independent Lincolnshire producer and third-generation pig farmer, who, for the last 11 years, has have been an active member of NPA producer group and, latterly, the Pig Industry Group (PIG), 'helping to steer the industry through rollercoaster times'.

"I have been heavily involved in the debate with the regulations that afflict our industry. There is a better way of doing things. I hope to contribute through NPA to a sustainableand profitable future for pig farmers," Sam says in his manifesto.

You can also keep an eye on the NPA forum for messages from candidates. We have posted a comment today sent in from one of our allied industry nominees.

NPA chief executive Zoe Davies said: "We are giving all nominees the chance to promote their application in this way, as we cant have regional meetings or any sort of hustings this year - so, candidates, please feel free to put comments in the forum."
