NPA Election 2021: First Midlands Producer nomination!

Another producer nomination for the NPA Election is in, with the Midlands now having its first candidate.
Sam Godfrey is an independent Lincolnshire producer and third-generation pig farmer, who, for the last 11 years, has have been an active member of NPA producer group and, latterly, the Pig Industry Group (PIG), 'helping to steer the industry through rollercoaster times'.
"I have been heavily involved in the debate with the regulations that afflict our industry. There is a better way of doing things. I hope to contribute through NPA to a sustainableand profitable future for pig farmers," Sam says in his manifesto.

We have now received four producer nominations and five nominations from the allied industries. Voting for the 17 places on the new PIG will commence in January.

NPA chief executive Zoe Davies said: "We are giving all nominees the chance to promote their application in this way, as we cant have regional meetings or any sort of hustings this year - so, candidates, please feel free to put comments in the forum."
