Final call for YNPA National event, featuring key farming political figures

14th Nov 2022 / By Alistair Driver

Today is the last chance to book your place at the Young NPA National event, which will feature Farming Minister Mark Spencer and his Labour Shadow, Daniel Zeichner.

YNPA logoThe event will take place at the NFU's headquarters in London, on December 1, starting at around 12.30pm with lunch, before a panel discussion on international trade featuring the two prominent politicians.

YNPA members, if you haven't done so already, need to confirm your attendance by emailing andrea.tranter@npanet.org.uk no later than lunchtime today, November 14, letting her know if you wish to join for lunch and dinner and if you require accommodation.

"This year the focus of the meeting will be on international trade and its importance to the UK pig industry," said NPA senior policy adviser Charlie Dewhirst.

"We are delighted to be joined by both the Farming Minister, Mark Spencer MP, and Shadow Farming Minister, Daniel Zeichner MP, for a 'Question Time' event, where YNPA members will have the chance to grill the panel."

NPA Chair, Rob Mutimer, will be in charge of proceedings, and also on the panel will be trade experts from AHDB and The Andersons Centre.

Before the discussion, there will be a welcome from YNPA Vice Chair, Flavian Obiero, and a short introduction on international trade from AHDB.

The afternoon's discussion will be followed by a night out in London.
