Industry consultant Mike Varley dies at the age of 74

We are sad to report that well-known pig industry consultant, Mike Varley, has died at the age of 74.
Having spent the first part of his career in academia, he moved into the commercial world, working in the feed industry and then heading up the BPEX technical team, before becoming a leading international pig consultant operating predominantly in China and the Far East.
