Lallemand and AHDB to host heat stress webinar on May 13
11th May 2020 / By Alistair Driver
Lallemand Animal Nutrition and AHDB are holding a webinar on May 13 to discuss what heat stress is, how it can affect your farm and what can be done to manage it.
Heat stress in pigs is often underestimated in the UK and Ireland, but it can have a profound effect on sows, affecting them from as low as 18ºC and causing up to 25% reductions in farrowing rates.
The speakers, Andrew Palmer from AHDB Pork, Mark McFarland and David Saornil, both from Lallemand Animal Nutrition, will be focusing on managing heat stress holistically through the behaviour, environment, and nutrition of the animal.
There will be two showings of the webinar on 13 May, 10am and 3pm, sign up by clicking here
If unable to join the webinar it will also be available ‘on demand’ after the event, so if you’re unable to join at either of these times please email for a link.
