NPA chief executive to appear on Radio 4 Today programme
3rd Sep 2021 / By Alistair Driver
NPA chief executive Zoe Davies is due to appear on the flagship BBC radio 4 Today Programme on Saturday morning.
Zoe is due to appear at 7.50am to discuss the current plight facing the UK pig industry as the growing pig backlog, caused by labour shortages, compounds the dire financial situation that has resulted in the worst financial performance on record over the first half of the year.
The NPA has already highlighted the dire situation facing producers widely across the media over the past week or so, including:
- BBC Radio Farming Today
- Sky News
- Financial Times
- The Guardian
- The Daily Mail
- And the Daily Mail again
- The Independent
- The Sun
- The Telegraph
- The Metro
- Eastern Daily Press
- Meat Management
- The Grocer
Town Hall meetings
The NPA will hold two online Town Hall events in September to give members an update on what we are doing, especially on labour shortages and the current market situation.
The meetings will take place on the evenings of September 9 and 16, starting at 7pm. They will give members the opportunity to share views and concerns so that NPA can ensure we are doing all we can to support you.
